About Carolyn Shireman Fine Art
“I paint what I know and love, but also, try to challenge myself with something new. I paint mostly from photographs that I have taken and roll the image around in my mind before I actually transfer it to canvas. Keeping a camera close by to capture God’s beautiful artwork to paint is always the challenge.” - Carolyn Shireman
Carolyn Shireman born and raised in Columbus Indiana. A city known for its art and fine architecture where thousands visit from all over the world to admire. After spending many years in Tampa, Florida, Carolyn now resides in the Mountains of Big Canoe, Georgia with her husband of 51 years and her beloved bichon dog, Frosty. She has a son, also an Artist, that lives in Washington, DC and a daugther, son-in-law and two grandchildren that resides in Winter Haven, FL.
Carolyn has been recipient of numerous awards in many art shows. She had studied Oil Painting for many years under the direction of Tampa noted artist, Kathi Hobbs. Carolyn is the President of the Big Canoe Art Guild.
